Position Description and Responsibilities: Our client is looking for a candidate who has demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high growth environment within the process improvement consulting industry. The Managing Director will have full responsibility for establishing and growing our client internationally under their aggressive growth strategy. This individual will report directly to the CEO and work with business development, marketing and our client’s global delivery teams to lead our client’s international expansion. Key responsibilities include marketing, business development, engagement management and technical materials development. This role will partner with our client’s CEO and Director of Business Development as well as work with our client’s leadership team in translating business strategy into business results. This role will have responsibility for coordinating all marketing activities including the following: Establish and implement an international business development strategy for our client’s organization. Prioritize and oversee marketing / PR related activities related to the our client’s practice area and develop partner relationships. Establish/develop our client’s reputation in performance improvement consultancy in international locations. Create white papers, articles and brochures for publishing in support of marketing needs. Set strategy for large engagements, oversee progress and maintain strong business relationships with key international clients. Identify and qualify business opportunities, lead client development sessions that position our client for proposing effective winning solutions; draft and negotiate proposals This position is based in London, with up to 80% travel possible including extensive international. Our client will also consider key international locations in the UK or Europe. Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Technical Behavioral Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Healthcare Administration Master’s Degree/MBA preferred Lean and/or Six Sigma MBB certification preferred 5 - 8+ years business development and engagement management experience Executive level consulting experience 5+ years experience applying Lean Six Sigma in healthcare, financial services and/or government Record of success as a “change agent” with success in implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles Project management experience History of managing and being held accountable to targeted results Proven capability to work with people at all levels of an organization Position Critical to Quality + Success (CTQ+S): Skill/Ability Behavioral Requirements: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: courage, decision quality, listening, initiative, drive for results, customer focus, integrity, and ability to deal with ambiguity Executive level communication skills (oral and written) Strong customer orientation; able to influence and negotiate Dynamic facilitator Outstanding ability to collect, analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
